Description
The COVID-19 pandemic has severely impacted the performing arts industry as all the auditoriums and performance avenues are closed. This year, the 24th edition of our Annual Festival of Music & Dance ‘Parampara Series Online Festival’ will take place as a virtual festival, thus not only maintaining continuity of showcasing our great cultural heritage but also providing emotional and spiritual strength to wider audiences in these testing times. Our endeavour this year, supported by the United Nations India & UNESCO, is to telecast a 4 (four) weekend series Launching on 27th October 2020, United Nations Audio-Visual Heritage Day. The Event will be inaugurated by Hon’ble Vice President of India Shri Venkaiah Naidu, other Special Guests are Chairman of GMR Group. Shri. G. Mallikarjun Rao, Former Assistant Secretary-General, UN Smt. Lakshmi Puri, UNRC in India Renata Dessallien & Bharatnatyam dancer Smt. Vyjayanthimala Bali. Performance telecasts start on 30th October, 2020, where we will be presenting rare and legendary performances from our memories of 23 Golden years of “Parampara Series”.
