EESG presents the 7th edition of Explicitly Chingona Group exhibition "Superstition"

Join us for an evening that explores and pushes the boundaries of sexual taboos and superstitions. Mature and adult subject matter will be displayed and only 18 and over will be allowed in the gallery. 

VIP opening Friday Jan. 13th, 7 - 11 pm.
$25 pre-sale tickets, $35 tickets at the door.
Entries include free drinks, erotic hors d’oeuvres and a private presentation by Ms. Modesty, De Giotto Rope, and the WIPsociety. (18 and over).

Call for artists!

East End Studio Gallery would like to invite artists to submit their works that incorporate the “Sexual taboos and or Superstition” theme. All mediums are welcome and will not be censored. Due to the adult subject matter we ask that the artists be 18 years or older please. 
Work must be reviewed and accepted by the curator. Please email sketches or finished work to [email protected]. Once approved, you will be sent back payment information. Last day to submit will be Monday January 9th. Drop off date is Tuesday January 10th, 5:30 - 8pm – NO EXCEPTIONS! All mailed work must arrive no later than Wednesday January 11th.
Entry fee to cover hanging, promotion and 2 VIP passes is $35 for 3 pieces (not exceeding 3′X3′), $5 for each additional piece. Gallery will handle all sales and will take a 25% commission. Upon acceptance into the show EESG will email you a contract and instructions for drop off. You can sell prints of work submitted to the show through our East End consignment for 20% commission.
Artist outside of Houston and surrounding areas can submit without an entry fee, but they are responsible for all shipping. Gallery will handle all sales and will take a 25% commission.
All work must be READY TO HANG. All paper or flat canvas art must be framed with either a single saw tooth hanger for lighter pieces or wired for heavier pieces. All unframed canvas/wood pieces must also have either a single saw tooth hanger for lighter pieces or wired for heavier pieces. Loose art/prints that are unframed on clips or any other type of hanging hardware not listed above will not be accepted.

VENDOR CALL: Deadline to apply is Monday, January 9th.
One Vendor will be selected to vend during the "Private VIP" Opening, Friday, January 13th; 10 table vendor spaces are available for the "Open to Public" Opening and Closing shows; Please submit an example of your work to: ATTN: CYNTHIA VELA, Vendor Director, [email protected] with 5 to 10 high resolution .jpg images of items created within the theme and 5 to 10 items of the hand-made merchandise you will be selling for approval, along with your company name, website and contact information. PLEASE SEND ALL IMAGES IN ONE EMAIL. Must be able to create some merchandise within the theme in order to participate. No art/prints will be permitted. $35 vendor fee. EESG to provide table and two chairs per vendor.
