SAPTVARNA – Seven shades of Indian classical dance

An artistic creation of Padmashri Aruna Mohanty,
SAPTVARNA showcases seven Indian classical dance forms in an integrated
concert-length performance. A group of twenty dancers present the
confluence of these dance styles in a spectacular multimedia
presentation with music specially scored for and recorded by an ensemble
of more than forty musicians. The common thread in presenting each
dance form is Bhagwat Gita, portraying Krishna as consciousness. Presented jointly with the Indian Consulate Houston in celebration of India’s Independence Day.
