ABOUT FESTIVAL OF GLOBE:
FOG is a huge umbrella platform that encompasses arts such as filmmaking, music, dance and fashion, media and entertainment – emerging trends, and humanitarian causes.
FOG’s core mission is to empower and integrate communities for a better future while celebrating the present.
FOG is the brainchild of Dr. Romesh Japra, who is a philanthropist, a public figure and community leader involved in various community services since decades. Dr. Japra, a cardiologist by profession, is a well-known, accomplished practicing doctor for more than 30 years. He is also the President of FIA (Federation of Indian Associations), Northern California.
More than twenty years ago, Dr. Japra started the India Day Parade that is held on the weekend close to India’s Independence Day, 15th August, every year. It includes a ‘Mela’ (Hindi for ‘Fair’), with food stalls, vendor booths, and a Health Fair with free screenings. Over the years, many famous Indian icons have graced India Day Parade.
In 2014, Dr. Japra expanded his vision of supporting the arts, culture, and entertainment beyond the borders of his native India to all the people with different ethnic and nationality backgrounds. That is how Festival of Globe, Silicon Valley, was born.
Highlights of FOG Movie Fest for Producers:
There are awards for screenplays that have not yet been taken up by any filmmaker.
Actors, producers and directors from different countries will light up the red carpet and share their thoughts on cinema and social issues during panel discussions.
Each year, FOG picks a cause to devote its attention and proceeds to. In 2015, it was Women Empowerment. This year, it is - Empowering Youth against Sex Crimes.
The festival concludes with a stunning gala – a Red Carpet and Awards Ceremony.
Your film will not only touch a diverse crowd, but also you will be contributing to empowering disadvantaged people.
Socially, this is a golden opportunity to hobnob with the glitterati from the tech, film, arts and philanthropy sectors and gorgeous people from different parts of the world. We have fun parties, food and drinks after festival hours.
