Ekam represents "Supreme Oneness". The idea was conceptualized and established by Adi Sankara. Adi Shankara identified 6 principal deities of the Hindu pantheon – Ganapathyam (Ganesha), Kaumaram (Karthikeya), Sauram (Surya), Shaktham (Shakthi), Shaivam (Shiva) and Vaishnavam (Vishnu).
