Diwali, also known as Deepavali, is one of the most popular festivals of Hinduism. It symbolizes the spiritual "victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. This Diwali, we invite you to join in bringing light of love, goodness of life and knowledge of Trans identities. The day is in honor of deities Rama and Sita’s return to Ayodhya after their 14-year exile. It also is a celebration of the day Goddess Durga destroyed a demon called Mahisha. Help us bring the light, love and acceptance that our Trans Hijra Intersex Nonbinary Southasians yearn for in their lifetimes.
