31st Bay Area KidFest on the Sept. 4-6 Labor Day Weekend is one of the Bay Area's longest-running family events and this year features three days of jam-packed entertainment, activities, food and fun in Downtown Concord. Headlining the return of KidFest this year is an exclusive appearance by beloved Paw Patrol characters Chase and Skye.
KidFest offers an all-day, all-rides wristband to be used on 20 thrilling rides for kids of all ages, including zip line, Waterballerz, Dragon Wagon roller coaster, Bungy Spider Jump, Ferris wheel, Spider Mountain, giant slide, petting zoo, pony rides, Stars 'n Stripes train, Zippy Pets, jeeps, bumper cars, Virtual Reality Roller Coaster and more rides.
This special KidFest offer for a rides wristband is good for 1 person on 1 day AND admission for 1 person.
This special, limited time offer ENDS THURSDAY, SEPT. 2, at 10 p.m. Each purchase includes 1 admission ticket AND 1 all-rides wristband for $32, a savings of over 15% off the price at KidFest. Admission tickets are also on sale Ride wristbands, ride tickets and admission tickets are also all sold at KidFest each day beginning at 9:30 a.m.
In a spacious outdoor setting at Mt. Diablo High School, KidFest features free non-stop entertainment on the Main Stage, Circus Imagination, Wildlife Wendy & Her Tropical Birds, Python Ron's Reptile Kingdom, Kid's Town America and the chance to meet and have your photo taken with No.1 Nickelodeon stars Chase and Ryder of Paw Patrol plus children's book legends Pete the Cat and Llama Llama.
There are many other free kid’s activities including the all-new Marketplace Pavilion with storytellers and magic, balloon hats, spin art, keepsake handprints, slides, crawls, kiddie golf, soccer and much more included in the low admission price.
There's an eclectic Food Court and the KidFest Marketplace is full of arts and crafts and exhibitor booths.
For the fifth consecutive time Claycord reader’s poll KidFest was voted Best Community Event. This category covers events in Clayton, Concord, Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill and Martinez. KidFest has won this category every time the poll has been held.
Admission tickets, ride wristbands and ride tickets go on sale each day at KidFest starting at 9:30 a.m. Admission is just $7 with a donation of canned food to the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano or $8 without donation to the Food Bank. Babies under 24 months and seniors 65+ are free.
Proceeds from Bay Area KidFest benefit local educational, health and sports groups. KidFest continues for the 26th year as one of the major annual donor events for the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano.
KidFest is open 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday and 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Labor Day Monday. KidFest is held at Mt. Diablo High School, 2450 Grant St. in downtown Concord just off Highway 242.
On-site vehicle parking is $5 with plenty of free street parking around the site also available.
