FOG INDIA DAY
FOG India Day in Fremont, California is one of the largest and most vibrant celebrations of Indian culture in the United States, bringing together thousands of people from diverse communities for a grand showcase of heritage, unity, and patriotism. Organized by the Federation of Indo-Americans of Northern California and Festival of Globe (FOG), this annual event commemorates India’s Independence Day with a spectacular blend of tradition and modern festivity.
Held at Paseo Padre Parkway, the celebration typically spans an entire weekend and features two major highlights—the colorful India Day Parade and the lively cultural Mela (fair). The parade is a visual delight, showcasing beautifully decorated floats representing various Indian states, cultural organizations, and community groups, accompanied by traditional music, dance performances, and enthusiastic participants dressed in vibrant ethnic attire.
