Swaranjali School Of Music

Born into a traditional Hindu family, Swati started her musical journey at a very tender age of five. She started her training in North Indian Classical music in India at Saraswati Vidya Mandir in Jammu with Late Shri Jagadish Sharma. She continued on to receive training from various Gurus throughout India such as respect B.S Bali jee disciple of Lt. Bheemsen Joshi) and Mr. Ravi Pandey in Bhopal. In the United States Swati has received extensive training from Ustaad Hamid Hossian based in Baltimore, MD. She is currently under the guidance of Dr. Meeta Pandit(Sixth generation and flag bearer of Gwalior Gharana. Swati achieved herSangeet Visharad in India at the age of seven. During her early years of learning music, she competed in many music competitions in India as well as United States and won in several categories such as Raag, bhajan, Ghazal, and Bollywood karaoke. She won first place in the classical category at the prestegious Shri Vishnu Digambar all India music competition at a very young age.
