Storytellers School of Dance

Storytellers School of Dance (SSD), lead by Ekta Popat, offers Kathak classes in the Houston area (Sugar Land, Richmond, Katy, Bellaire, Clear Lake) for adults and children ages 5 & up. Ekta Popat is a disciple of Guru Smt. Shambhavi Dandekar and is trained in the Benaras Gharana of Kathak. Ekta has over 20 years of experience teaching dance. She hopes to give her students the same authentic training that she is fortunate to receive from her guru. Through discipline, focus, and fun Ekta hopes to share her passion and love for Kathak with all of her students.
