CANADIAN COMEDIAN TO PLAY IN CHICAGO
AS PART OF WORLD TOUR
**FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 14 – THE CHICAGO THEATRE**
Global comedy superstar Russell Peters is delighted to announce he is returning to Chicago, IL in 2018 as part of his Deported World Tour. Russell will be performing a one-night-only show at the historic Chicago Theatre on Friday, September 14, bringing his own brand of humour to Chicago once again.
Tickets for The Deported World Tour taking place on Friday, September 14 at The Chicago Theatre will go on sale to the general public on Friday, April 27 at 10 am
This show will feature all-new material including plenty of Russell’s own signature interactions with the audience. Peters says, “I love getting to know my audience. It’s the collaboration between us. I’ve been building the new act in clubs across the States over the past year and I’m very happy with it.”
Russell Peters returns to live touring after taking time off to film his smash hit Netflix series The Indian Detective. The Indian Detective also stars Anupam Kher (The Big Sick, Silver Linings Playbook), William Shatner (Star Trek), Christina Cole (Suits, Casino Royale) and Mishqah Parthiephal (Keeping Up with the Kandasamys).
Peters has also appeared in the yet to be released films, The Clapper with Ed Helms, Amanda Seyfried and Tracy Morgan as well as Supercon with Ryan Kwanten and John Malkovich, and Public-Schooled with Judy Greer.
The Deported World Tour kicked off in Australia and New Zealand in February 2018 and will see Russell travel around the world with shows well into 2019. His last tour travelled to over 26 countries with over 200 performances and more than 300,000 fans in attendance.
