KIRTAN FEST 2017 at ISKCON of Houston
ISKCON of Houston is organizing a Kirtan Fest on Labor Day Weekend (Sept 2 - Sept 4) at our beautiful temple in Houston, TX. This will be the inaugural festival that will become a recurring flagship annual festival.
It will be a combination of Kirtan, entertainment and seminars. We are inviting kirtaniyas, special guests such as sanyasis, travelling preachers and other artist to this festival. It will be a paid event (which covers the cost of prasadam, special guest’s expenses). We will provide accommodation to people travelling from outside of Houston. As details become available, we will share it on our dedicated website - www.kirtanfesthouston.com
Website will be updated periodically as we get confirmation from kirtaniyas, special guests and artists. We will start online registration in a few months with early bird discounts.
We want everyone to be aware of this great opportunity this year and would request for their participation. This will be a unique festival and create an immersive space for Krishna devotees to experience rejuvenating kirtan from morning till night in the company of many senior Vaishnavas who have a deep taste for the Holy Name.
In this age, the congregational chanting of the holy names of the Lord is the prescribed method for waking up. The ways and means are most scientifically presented by Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, and intelligent persons may take advantage of His teachings in order to bring about real peace and prosperity. (Srimad Bhagavatam–1:1:4–purport).
We are intensely praying to Lord Chaitanya to kindly engage us in His sankirtan-yajna by allowing serving each and every devotee that will attend the Kirtan Fest in 2017 and beyond.
